ENVAP3 is a joint project between The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and Serbia on EU approximation. The project assists the Ministry of Environmental Protection in efficient management of the Chapter 27 negotiations preparatory process, resulting into more than 1,500 pages of negotiations documents. Chapter 27 Negotiating Position package was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia at the beginning of the year and it is currently being evaluated by the European Commission.
As envisaged by the signed agreement, the project will be implemented by the end of April 2022 and will include monitoring the implementation of the Negotiating Position and support for the implementation of certain priority actions.

Minister Goran Trivan thanked Sweden and its Ambassador in Serbia, Jan Lundin, for their continuous assistance and support in the process of joining the European Union, emphasizing that Sweden is one of Serbia's main partners in achieving European environmental standards and resolving the most important issues in the field of environmental protection.
Pointing out that the negotiations for joining the European Union are the way to improving the environment as one of the basic preconditions for the health of the population, the Minister emphasized the importance of Sweden's assistance through the ENVAP project in drafting the Negotiating Position that Serbia submitted to Brussels in January 2020.
